Safaa Erruas was born in Tetouan 1976, Morocco where she is currently based. In 1998, she received a diploma from the National Institute of Fine Arts and since 1996, she has been exhibiting regularly in France, Belgium, Italy, Germany, Spain, Croatia, England, United States, Norway, Algeria, the Netherlands. Erruas has recently been in India with nearly fifty Group exhibitions. She also participated in the Dak’Art biennial in the 2002 and 2006 editions and the Biennial of young European and Mediterranean in Naples (2005)
Erruas works generally on large sizes and designs white themed installation leaving light to underline the spaces. They are sometimes stripped buildings, such Almohada, or montages created from the same items as Knives, both being showed in to MuHKA Museum, Antwerp, Belgium. Her series Dolls, archaeologically appears as a painful inquiry on the effects of time.
